Mercury Dime - Interestingly enough, this does not depict the Roman God Mercury, nor does it contain any mercury in the coin. This coin has Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, the classic symbol of freedom and liberty. These coins were minted from 1916 to 1945 and is a very popular coin among coin collectors.
Key dates would include the 1916-D (ony 264,000 minted) and 1942/1 (2 over 1 date. Overdate type for both 1942 and 1942-D, unknown mintages). Semi-key dates would include 1921, 1921-D, 1926-s and 1931-S.
